FINAL OF WANGANUI WOMEN’S BOWLS WON BY NEW PLYMOUTH
Play of a high standard was seen in the final of the Wanganui Women’s Bowling Centre tournament played on the Wanganui Club greens on Saturday morning, when a New Plymouth team skipped by Mrs Thomas, of New Plymouth, beat a Wanganui team skipped by Mrs Dennison by 20 points to-18. The previous day the teams had drawn. Under the rules of bowling the whole 21 heads have to be replayed, and Saturday’s game was the replay. The personnel of the teams was:— Wanganqi: Mrs Dennison (skip), Miss Johnson (3). Mrs Taylor (2). Mrs Rush (lead)r New Plymouth: Mrs Thomas (skip), Mrs Gillespie (3). Mrs Murray '2l. Mrs Quinn (lead).
