Four Women Appear In Film Version Of The Life Of Poet Byron

Dennis Price, who plays the poetadventurer in “The Bad Lord Byron,” has four women featured in his screen life. They are Joan Greenwood, Mai Zetterling, Linden Travers and Sonia Holm As Lady Caroline Lamb—it vtfas she who described Byron in her diary as “mad, bad and dangerous to know”—Joan Greenwood will have one of the most dramatic parts in her career. She will work simultaneously on “Saraband For Dead Lovers” at Ealing Studios. Mai Zetterling, th e Swedish actress who was first introduced to British “Frieda,” returned from her homeland on New Year’s Day to play the part of Teresa Guiccioli, Byron’s Italian mistress. Linden Travers has the role of Augusta Leigh, Byron’s half-sister, and Sonia Holm will play Annabella Milbanke, the woman who became Byron’s wife. Irene Browne, experienced stage and screen actress, is cast as Lady Melbourne, and Leslie Dwyer, who has recently finished work in “The Calendar,” takes the role of Fletcher, Byron’s manservant.
