HOW THEY FARED IN THE EARLY SINGLES ROUNDS Wanganui and district bowlers taking part in the early rounds of the singles at the Dominion bowling championships at Dunedin have not fared well. Clinkard (St. John’s) put up the best performance. Following is a summary of Wanganui performances in the early rounds: C. H. Clinkard (St. John’s: First round, won 18-11; second round, lost 23- third round, won 22-6; fourth round, won 25-11; fifth round, won 21-7. R. S. Johnstone (Wanganui): First round, won 19-12; second round, lost 20- third round, won 17-16; fourth round, lost 26-6. P. Graham (Wanganui): First round, won 15-12; second round, lost 24- third round, lost 23-11. J. B. Jack (Wanganui): First round, won 18-16; second round, lost 21G. Broadhead (St. John's): First round, won 18-16; second round, won 27-16; third round won 22-11; fourth round, lost 1912; fifth round, lost 26-7.
