Battle For Kinitza Not Yet Ended

Reed. 7 p.m. London, Dec. 27. The Athens correspondent of the Associated Press, despite the Greek news agency’s claim that the battle for Kinitza had ended, says the embattled garrison is still under artillery fire, though at midnight on December 26 it had repelled the third attack in three days. Two batteries of guerrilla artillery, of three to four pieces each, are operating two and a-lialf miles from the Albanian border. Meanwhile, snow and guerrillas occupying the heights along the supply route are seriously impeding reinforcements coming to the garrison’s aid. The bulk of the 1500 guerrillas who attempted to take Agrinion are reported to be surrounded in a village 12 miles east of Agrinion. Guerrilla dead in this action already total 65. with 40 wounded, and 20 captured.
