Down The Drain
700 GALLONS OF BEER (P.A.) Gisborne. Dec. 28 Approximately 700 gallons of Christmas beer were lost in a mishap at a Gisborne brewery. The beer was being held in a vat for bottling, but the coupling broke, and was not discovered before a large quantity of the contents had gone down the drain. As a result, late beer orders had to be rationed.
