PHILIPPINES DIPLOMATIC APPOINTMENT REPORTED
Manila, Dec. 25. Senor Manuel Alzate, a member of the prewar National Assembly, was reported to have been chosen as the first Consul-General of the Philippines to Australasia. The report said that Senor Alzate would have headquarters in Sydney and be accredited to Australia and New Zealand. He represented the Philippines at the recent conference in Australia of western Pacific aviation and meteorology officials.
