DONATION OF £50 BY MR. HORACE BAYLY
The funds for the Navy League candidate in the Miss New Zealand quest being conducted on behalf of the aid for Britain campaign were augmented on Saturday by a cheque for £5O donated by Mr. Horace Bayly, of Westmere.
The gift was announced at a function on Saturday night at "Arlington," the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. Newman on No. 1 Line. A function was held at Fordell during the afternoon and the total proceeds of the day, including Mr. Bayly’s gift, were expected to reach about £l2O.
