NGA TOA WINS CHAM?iONSHIP BY ONE POINT The Wanganui women's basketball senior championship was played on Saturday, and resulted in a draw, 20all, between the two linalists—Nga Toa and Technical Old Girls. This gave Nga Toa the championship by one point. Several teams visited Wanganui for the day, and the matches more or less resolved themselves into something of provincial standard. Eltham (the champion Taranaki team) beat Nga Toa (Wanganui champions) by one point, 21 to 20, in a challenge match. Other results were:

St. Mary's A (Wanganui) 9; Technical Old Girls (Wanganui) 36, United (New Plymouth) 13; Ashhurst 15, Garments B (Wanganui) 8.
