Redskins Sunburned
Sunburned Indians were the first casualties among several hundred people at Lone Pine in the High Sierras filming scenes for R.K.O. Radio's “Tycoon,” a Technicolour production starring John Wayne and Larraine Day. More than twenty of the aboriginals stripped 'io the waist as they depicted South American Indians, reported to the field hospital with painful cases of sunburn. They weren’t used to being shirtless, they said.
