AUSTRALIAN HORSES MAY RACE IN N.Z.

Recd. 10 p.m. Sydney, Oct. 2. The well-known racehorses Shannon and El Senor may go to New Zealand for the Auckland ap’d Wellington Cup carnivals in December and January, according to a correspondent in “Newsletter,” who says that trainer Frank Dalton is studying the possibilities of the trip. El Senor would be entered for the Auckland and Wellington Cups and Shannon’s mission would be weight-for-age events at those meetings. Dalton said that, though Darby Munro had not been approached to ride Shannon in New Zealand, he felt sure Munro would go. A meeting between Shannon and Beau le Havre at Ellerslie would provide the greatest attraction since Gloaming beat The Hawk at Hastings, says correspondent.
