Barque Pamir Hopes to Sail Today

(P.A.) Wellington, Oct. 2 The barque Pamir, which was to have sailed for London today, is now expected to leave at 10 a.m. tomorrow if the wind is favourable. Late this morning, with a light northerly blowing, it was decided to take the barque out. However, southerly winds were reported outside the heads and it was considered inadvisable to leave port because of the possibility of the Pamir being caught by strong winds with Palliser Bay as her lee shore.

The ship has been waiting favour able weather for several days.
