CHAMPIONSHIP FINAL NEXT SATURDAY SEVERAL VISITING TEAMS. The Wanganui Basketball Association's 1947 season will close on Saturday. when Nga Toa and Technical Old Girls will meet in the senior championship final. There will also be several visiting teams here for the day. A total of 120 players are due here from various districts and all games will be played at the Technical School courts on Saturday afternoon. Arrangements for the entertainment ot the visitors has been left entirely to the Wanganui teams opposing them. All games will be ow two 20-minute spells, and shall start sharp on time. Technical Al (No. 3), 2.15; Mrs. Schnack Otaki Textile A v. T.O.G. B (No. 4), 2.15; Mrs Canty. Hawera H.S.O.G. v. St. Mary's A (No. 1), 3 p.m.; Mr. Haberfield. United New Plymouth v. T.O.G. (No. 2), 3 p.m.; Mr. Hansen. Grey Cabs, Wellington, v. Halvic (No. 3) 3 p.m,; Mrs. Cleary. Otaki Aces v. D.I.C. (No. 4), 3 p.m.; O. Kendall. Okato seniors v. Nga Toa, Technical courts, 3.45 p.m.; Mr. Haberfield. Fourth Grade Championship Winner. Convent D, with 15 points, are winners of the fourth grade championship, with College D and Convant K runners-up, with 14 points each.
