Young Farmers Shoot On Miniature Range Won by Wangaehu

On Monday night-the Wanganui District Clubs held their first miniature rifle shoot at Westmere. The range, rifles and equipment were loaned by the Westmere Miniature Rifle Club and the shoot was run under the supervision ot members ot lhat club, Mr. R. Farley and Miss Yvonne Anderson, who recently won tame at the New Zealand Women’s Miniature Rifle Championship, officiated as markers. Teams competing were: Hunterville A, Hunterville B, Marton, Wangaehu and Westmere. The standard of shooting was good. The Wangaehu Club is successful in gaining the highest aggregate points. Best individual score of the evening was gained by D. Wilkie, ot the Wahgaehu Club, with 68 points, two points off the possible. Other good targets were returned by G. W. Thompson (Wangaehu) 67; D. Woon (Wangaehu), I. Mallasch (Westmere) and B. L. Jones (Westmere) 66; L. Soler (Marton) and A. Barnes (Westmere) 65; R. Laird (Westmere), M. Soler (Marton) and B. Gray (Marton) 61; and J.
