Kramer and Schroeder Win Marathon Tennis Doubles Match
Reed. 7.30 p.m. Los Angeles, Sept. 29. Kramer and Schroeder won the men’s doubles final against Frank Parker and Francisco Segura, 9-11, 7-5, 6-2, 9-11, 12-10. The 82 game, four hour, match is considered the longest and hardest fought in the tournament’s 21 year history. The women’s singles title went to Beverly Baker, who defeated Mrs. Patricia Canning Todd 6-3 6-2.
