J-FORCE PERSONNEL TO DISEMBARK AT AUCKLAND TODAY
(P-A.) Auckland, Sep':. 29 Arrangements concerning the arrival of the transport Kanimbla with 257 members of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. returning from Japan, were announced today. The vessel, which is due to arrive late to-night, will berth about 8 a.m. tomorrow. Troops for North Auckland will leave the wharf by armytransport at. 8.30 a.m. South Auckland. Hamilton. Bay of Plenty and Thames personnel will leave Auckland by rail at 9.8 a.m., and those for Gisborne and Taranaki will leave by road senices at about 8.30 a.m. They arc expected to arrive at New Plymouth at 5.30 p.m., and at Gisborne at 9.30. Parties for the southern districts of the North Island and for the South Island will leave here by train at 3 p.m. Those for Nelson and Marlborough will leave Wellington at 2.15 p.m. on Wednesday in the Tamahine for Picton. The remainder for the South Island, including West Coast personnel. w'U travel in Ihe Hinemoa, leaving Wellington al 7.45 p.m. on Wednesday. Personnel for destinations south of Christchurch will leave there by train at 8.38 a.m. on Thursday. West Coast, personnel will leave Christchurch by train at 10 a.m.
