WINS FOR KAIERAU, PIRATES AND WANGANUI OLD BOYS REPRESENTATIVE TEAMS SELECTED In the fastest, keenest match of the season, in which the positions of the two teams in it were nearly reversed in the last minute of play, Kaierau beat Technical Old Boys in the featured Rugby club match in Wanganui on Saturday. It was a glorious autumn day, there being a large attendance of the publie. In the earlier match on Spriggens Park, Pirates won against Marist by the slender margin of three points. On the Racecourse, in the last few minutes of play, Wanganui and Old Boys beat Waverley by nine points to six. The six teams competing for the chib championship are now in Hie following order: Points
Two Wanganui Metropolitan representative teams to play next Saturday were selected at the week-end. Club Rugby was continued in Taihape. Huia maintained its unbeaten record, beating Navy by 24 to six. In the other match, played at Mangaweka, Mangaweka beat Utiku by five points to three. In Rangitikei, Rangatahi beat Athletic 17 to three, Rata beat Marton Old Boys by 22 to three, and Hunterville accounted for Ohingaiti by 14 points to six. In the Ruapehu Sub-union club competition. Ohakune beat the Kiwis by 17 to three, while Karioi beat Raetihi by 20 points to three.
