The Greymouth branch of the Locomotive Engine-drivers', Firemen and Cleaners' Association, at a meeting to-day, passed the following resolution: “That this branch applies to the Grand Council (the controlling body of the E.F.C.A.) meeting in Wellington this month, for permission to declare ‘black’ all coal from the Reefton coal fields until such time as adequate and suitable hut accommodation for single men of the railway service is provided on the site selected by the branch, together with proper facilities, such as n recreation room, wash house, bath room, hot and cold water and electric light and points.”
