OTAGO BATS AGAINST M.C.C. AT DUNEDIN
SUTCLIFFE JUST MISSES HIS DOUBLE CENTURY (P.A.) Dunedin, March 16 A still, fine day with a tang of autumn in it, a good score by Otago of 322 for nine wickets, and a scintillating innings of 197 by the young left-hand batsman, B. Sutcliffe, were the main features of an interesting day’s cricket between Hammond's M.C.C. team and Otago at Carisbrook on Saturday. The attendance was upwards of 10,000.
