BLACK PLATO SURPRISES IN PAUL MEMORIAL

(P.A.) New Plymouth, March 10. .The weather was tine and the track fast for the second day of the Taranaki Jockey Club's meeting and there was a good crowd present. The totalisator handled £50,234, against £45,967 10s for the second day last year. The total for the meeting was £101,006, compared with £92,727 10s last year. The inquiry into the fall of the rider T. W. Green, from Yusuf in the Moturoa Electric Hack on Saturday was concluded to-day. It was found that the occurence was accidental.
