WHARVES AND HOLDS CHOKED WITH CARGO
SYDNEY WATERSIDERS NOT RESUMING WORK
Recd. 9.10 p.m. Sydney, March 10 By an overwhelming majority the watersiders to-day decided not to resume work on the Sydney water front. A motion that work should cease immediately on all Australian wharves was defeated. The men decided that there would be no return to work in Sydney until the order that the men should work three hours overtime on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays to clear accumulated was withdrawn by the Stevedoring Industry Commission. Because of the strike □.) ships in Sydney are idle and wharves ana holds are choked with 100,000 tons of cargo.
Communist pamphlets demanding a national waterside strike were issued to the men as they met to-day.
