THOMPSON HANDICAP WON BY SAGE KING (P.A.) Wellington, March 9. The Wellington Racing Club’s autumn meeting opened at Trentham on Saturday in fine weather. The track was firm and fast. The attendance was not up to the usual numbers on account of the cancellation of special trains. The totalisator handled f 171,975 10s, compared with £185,129 10s on the first dayslast year.
