ABRAHAM AND WILLIAMS REPORT. Abraham and Williams Ltd., report as follows: Just on 10,000 sheep were yarded at the Taihape sale. The quality of the ewes yarded at this sale was not up to the standard of the ewe fair a fortnight ago. However, down country buyers were present in strong force and it was quite evident that a lot of farmers have yet to purcharc their requirements of breeding ewes. A very strong sale resulted for both 2-tooth ewes and cast 4 and 5-year ewes with prices on a slightly higher level than our last sale here. A feature of our yarding was a specially advertised line of 1600 2-tooth wethers offered on account of Mr. T. C. Lowry, Pokaka Station. These were well grown sheep in very forward condition but rather late shorn. Competition for them was keen and they were sold in several cuts at prices ranging from 2Ss Id to 30s 4d. Some of our main sales were:—
