Kangitikei River Flood
During Hie recent southerly storm the Rangitikei River was In the highest flood lor some years, said the engineer, Mr. S. A. R. Mail, at the monthly jneeting in Marton yesterday of tlio Rangitikei County Council. At tile railway bridge, Kakariki. the rivei showed a rise of 9ft. Sin. The county's protective works, however, stood the strain well.
