AS from March 1, 1947, the visiting hours at the Wanganui Public Hospital will be as follows: Monday to Saturday (inclusive): 2 p.m.—2.30 p.m Sunday: 2 p.m.—3 p.m. Wednesday evening: 7 p.m.—7.30 p.m. Children's Ward: Sunday, 2—3 p.m. only. PROPOSED PASSENGER TRANSPORT LOAN, 1946: £130,000. (THE Wanganui City Council hereby gives Public Notice that it proposes under the terms of "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1926" to raise a Special Loan of £130,000 (the sanction ot the Local Government Loans Board pursuant to the provisions of "The Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926” having been obtained to the raising of the loan) for the following pur. poses, namely: The replacement of the existing Tramway System with a new system comprising Trolley and 'Petrol Buses and the providing of all ■material, appliances and other matters and things necessary, expedient ■or convenient for such purposes. The security for such Loan shall be a Special Rate ot 1.625 d in the £ ■on the rateable value on thc| basis of the unimproved value of all rateable property in the City of Wanganui, and tne said loan or any part thereof together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or half-yearly instalments extending over a term of 18 years, it is "not proposed to pay out of the loan the cost of raising tne loan or the first year's instalment or instalments of interest and principal on the loan. Ir. terms of Sec. 6 of “The Local Government Loans Board Act, 1926” it has been stipulated by the Board that an aver, age increase in fares of 25 per cent, shall be made in respect of the proposed new system.
