INTERNATIONAL RACE IN U.S.A.
London, Jan. 2b Mr. James Butler, the president oL the Empire Racing Association oL New York, arrived in London yesterday. Mr. Butler has plans for an annual £25,OC(i sterling international horse race, to be known as the Empire Gold Cup. According to the "Daily Telegraph’s” racing. correspondent, Mr. Butler intends placing the plan before the English and French owners. If it. is carried out the first race will be held in the United States this year, the second at Ascot or Goodwood next year and the third in France. Hornet would be transported by air.
