WINNER OF £500 UNDER NAME OF “RABBITS,” WORKS AT IMLAY
To celebrate the arrival of 1947 Ron Pedley, son of Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Pedley, of Tayforth, bought a ticket in the “My Lucky Year" Art Union. Because of the occasion he picked on the nom de plume "Rabbits." The New Year has proved to be lucky for him, for on Wednesday, the day before his 18th birthday, his ticket, No. 226284, was drawn for the second pr.ze of £5OO in the art union. Mr. Pedley is at present working at the Imlay Freezing Works, where he received the news of his win. He took the advice of his good fortune nonchalantly and went on right ahead with his work as though he were not £5OO the richer.
