Day pupils will be enrolled at the Technical College on Friday, January 31, from 9.30 a.m. to noon and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Parents are asked to bring primary school certificates and evidence of date of birth of pupil. JJUE to the water shortage, public is hereby given that the watering of gardens, lawns, etc., by means of a hose is until further notice restricted to one half-hour daily. Hosing times for the various localities are as under:— In that portion of the City situated on the south-western side of the Gt. North Road, Victoria Avenue, and Portal Street (including Gonville, Castlecliff, and Durie Hill), between 6.30 p.m. and 7 p.m. In that portion of the City situated on the north-eastern side of the Gt. North Road, Victoria Avenue and Porta’ Street (Including Aramoho, Wanganui East, and Durie Vale), between 7 p.m. and 7.30 p.m. Any persons using a hose for watering gardens, lawns, etc., at times other than the above-mentioned, or allowing water to run to waste from any pipe, tap, or other apparatus, or even during the hosing hours, hosing or permitting water to be used by a hose not held by the hand, will be prosecuted.
