WASTAGE OF FAT
“The only effective way to prevent further wastage of fat is to substantially increase prices paid to the tailow producers,” was a motion unanimously carried at a meeting of farmers in Wanganui on Wednesday. Mover was Mr. W. J. B. Tripe, who commented on the lack of action of the Government in this connection. A suggestion that this fact be made known in the press of Britain was left to the chairman of the New Zealand Meat Board (Mr. H. G. Grigg), the general manager (Mr. J. Evans) ana the chairman of the Wanganui Federated Farmers (Mr. H. J. Donnelly) to decide.
