MR- HOLLAND BELIEVES IN CO-OPERATIVES; AGAINST MONOPOLY

Wellington, Jan. 29 “I believe in co-operative concerns, but have never believed in monopoly,” said the Leader of the Opposition (Mr. Holland) when referring to the attitude of the Government toward the establishment and control of cooperative trading in State housing areas. Mr. Holland added thaj he had bought a share at that function, to which he had been invited in connection with the establishment of‘the Naenae Co-operative Society. However, he disapproved strongly of the principle of a monopoly.
