Despite increased prices being paid for tallow, producers were actuallygetting less than in 1939, because of increased costs and because of stabilisation preventing farmers getting full payments, stated the general manager of the N.Z. Meat Board, Mr. J. Evans yesterday at a meeting of Wanganui farmers. Fat Collection Failure.
The fat collection scheme has proved a failure except for those patriotic minded citizens who were not concerned with the money involved in it” opined the general manager of the New Zealand Meat Board, Mr. J. Evans, at a meeting of Wanganui farmers yesterday.
