BOXER OFFERED A BRIBE
New York. Jan. 27. District Attorney Frank Hogan alleges that the middleweight boxing title challenger, Rocky Graziano, has admitted that he was offered 100,000 dollars to “throw” his scheduled fight with Ruben Shank on December 27. Graziano was a hot favourite. Gamblers are reported to have placed bets on Shank to win which would yield them 500,000 dollars. The fight was cancelled because Graziano developed an ailing in the back. Th e grand jury is now investigating the bribe allegations.
