SMALL AMOUNT OF MAIL ABOARD
(P.A.) Wellington, Jan. 20. The Wanganella carried a relatively small ampunt of mail, all of which was from Australia, stated the Post-master-General (Mr. Hackett) in reply to an inquiry this evening. If the weather conditions permitted, it was hoped to unload it from the ship tomorrow morning. The Minister said the mail carried by the Wanganella comprised 184 bags of letters and newspapers, etc.. 193 bags of parcels. It had not been possible to Unload any of the mails today. as all efforts had been directed towards rescue work.
