OBITUARY

MR. JAMES ROLFE Mr. James Rolfe, a resident of the Putaruru district for nearly 40 years, has died, aged 73. In his younger days Mr. Rolfe toured Australia and New Zealand with theatrical companies, including that of Bland Holt. He is survived by his wife, two daughters and four sons. MR. DAVID OGILVY Mr. David Ogilvy, of Leamington, has died, aged 62 year’s. Mr. Ogilvy was born in Kerriemuir, Scotland, and came to New Zealand in 1902. He was manager of the Cardiff Cooperative Dairy Co., Ltd., and latei became manager of the Joll Dairy Company’s factories in Taranaki. He took up farming at Pukekawa and Ngaruawahia, and in 1927 went to Leamington. Mr. Ogilvy was a member of the Leamington Town and Domain Boards. He is survived by his wife and a family of seven. MR. W. MORRISON Mr. William Morrison has died in Hamilton, aged 80 year’s. Born in Scotland and educated in Glasgow, Mr. Morrison spent many year’s as a teacher in his own country and then came to New Zealand about. 1914. He -served for 20 years as a teacher or headmaster in many small schools in Otago, Canterbury and Auckland, mainly in the Waihi and Whakatane districts. In 1926 hr was head teacher o f the Temuka Boys’ Home Mr. Mor. ison, who was not married, had been living in retirement in Hamilton.
