OBITUARY
MR. J. A. PICKETT. Mr. James Andrew Pickett, of Ngaroma Road, Remuera, died suddenly in Christchurch recently. Mr. Pickett, who was 63 years of age, was a former divisional supervisor of the Mutual life and Citizens’ Assurance Co., Ltd. Lie commenced insurance work as an agent in the goldfields district about 37 years ago and was later promoted assistant superintendent of the company and then to superintendent of the company’s audit and industrial branch. Interested in music, Mr. Pickett was choirmaster at the Northcote Methodist Church for some years. He was a member of the Masonic Craft, the Lodge Selwyn, and the Royal Arch Masons. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, and one son. MR. A. C. ST. PAUL. Mr. Alfred Clifford St. Paul, formerly a well-known officer of the Bank of Australasia, died at. his home, 40 Lucerne Road, Remuera, last week. Mr. St. Paul joined the staff of the Bank of Australasia at Napier and afterward was successively manager of the branches at Wairoa, Feilding, Hamilton and Dunedin. Since his retirement in 1943 Mr. St. Paul had lived in Hamilton and Auckland. He is survived by his wife and a son.
