EXTRA FOOD FOR THE GERMANS
Hamburg, Nov. 30. The Military Governor o£ the British zone, Sir Sholto Douglas, announced that coffee from Britain would be sent to the North Rhine Westphalia province for Christmas. German miners and seriously injured war victims would receive at Christmas time extra cigarettes. Germans under 20 would receive eight ounces of sweets in addition to their sugar ration. The Deputy Commander in Chief of the American zone, General Keetirig, said all German children in the American zone would receive an extra halfpound of sugar for Christmas.
