The Japanese Ambassador in Berlin, General Oshima, early in 1939 secretly informed Himmler of a Japanese plot to assassinate Stalin, according to lhe latest United States Government document in the series "Nazi conspiracy and aggression.'' Himmler conferred with Oshima on January 1, 1939, regarding long-range Japanese and German espionage projects, aimed at Russian disintegration so as to help in the event of war.
