MORAL OF NUREMBERG LOST ON THE GERMAN PEOPLE
JUSTICE AND NOT REVENGE IS NOT UNDERSTOOD
Recd. 9 p.m. London, Oct. 4. “A saddening spectacle,” is how “The Times” Berlin correspondent describes the agitation now being fomented for the retrial before a German Court of the three Nazis acquitted at Nuremberg (von Papen, Schacht and Fritsche). The correspondent adds it proves, where, unfortunately, no proof is needed, how far the Germans, even those speaking in the name of democracy, are from understanding the processes of democracy. The moral of Nuremberg as a demonstration of the

There were reports that the three who were acquitted were to be admitted to the British zone for protection, but, so far, the British have heard nothing of it. The three are being held in the American zone, receiving the same treatment as the soldiers who guarded theiti throughout their period of captivity It is reported that a high-ranking American office)’ said that as they were America’s prisoners before the trial, they would remain in United States care.
