MENZIES CONFIDENT OF WIN NEXT TIME
Melbourne, Oct. 2. A change over of two or three percent. of the votes cast would put Labour out at the next elections, said the Liberal Party Leader, Mr. R. G. Menzies, in a confident forecast, today. He emphasised that the Government had lost much ground, and that in the eight doubtful seats a lew hundred votes could decide the issue. The election could have been won for the Opposition had the anti-Labour i swing been only slightly greater.
