Mr. W. W. Mulholland was yesterday elected president of the New Zealand Federated Farmers, in succession Io the interim president, Mr. B. V. Cocksley.
Mr. D. G. Hendry, acountant in the Post Office Savings Bank at the chief post office, Auckland, has been appointed manager of the bank in succession to Mr. E. H t Tyler, who retired on Tuesday.
The Rev. David Calder, E.D., 8.A., Dominion secretary of the British and Foreign Bible Society announced in Wanganu. last night his resignation num that office as from the end of this year. His successor will be the Rev. F. R. Chisholm, M.A., 8.D., of Scotland, who for 13 years has been .secretary of the National Bible Society of Scotland. Mr. J. P. Hanratty, of Hamilton, has been appointed chief postmaster in Dunedin. He will he succeeded by Mr. S. E. Oppenheim, of Napier. Mr. E. Sweeney, senior supervisor of the telegraph branch in Hamilton, has been transferred to a similar position in Auckland. Mr. 11. W. Parnell, senior supervisor of the postal branch in Hamilton, has been appointed to lake charge of the parcels branch in Auckland.
