(P.A.) Parliament Bldgs., Sept. 4. In the House of Representatives to-night, during the Budget debate, when the Government member for Roskill (Mr. A. S. Richards) was going on to answer criticism concerning the Government’s reduction of overseas debt, Mr. A. G. Osborne (Govt., Onehunga) drew attention to the fact that there were only eight Opposition members listening to the member for Roskill.
Mr. Richards: I am not surprised, They are not interested in progressive ideas.
