Situation.—A ridge of high pressure lies over the North Island and a depression Is advancing across the south Tasman Sea Forecast, to 5 p.m.: Moderate westerly to northwesterly winds predominating: weather, fair to fine, but cloud gradually increasing; temperature, moderate to mild. Further outlook: A few showers early on Friday.
