In the 1944-45 season at Turakina the top cow was Mahoe Guichen Bay, on C.O.R. with a return of 691.7 lbs. tai. Under G.O.H.T. 3 cows exceeded GOOlbs. fat, 3 more were over 5001hs. fat and 23 others exceeded 400 lbs. fat. The average for the Turakina Herd of 53 cows (6 2-year-olds. 10 3-year-olds, 9 4-year-olds and 28 mature cows up to 14 years) was 401)bs. fat. The complete herd has b en classified and 33 cows have been given V.H.C., 63 cows H.C. and 93 cows C.
