I .8. LOAN GIVES IM REASES London, July 16. The Minister of Fuel (Mr. E. Shhiwell) announced in lhe House of Commons that the basic petrol ration would be increased, from August 1. by 50 per cent. The increase will absorb more than half the additional supplies he is able to make available as a result of the American loan. The supplementary allowance for semi-essential classes has been Increased by 50 per cent. Essential users have been treated more generously.
