WANGANUf - TARANAKI THE CHOSEN SIDES After the two representative matches on Saturday, the Wanganui Rugby Union’s -.election committee— Messrs. C. Stewart and D. Whillans (Metropolitan) and A. Smith (Taihape)—chose two Wanganui teams to play against Taranaki on King’s Day. the major side being the A team, which is to play on Spriggens Park in the morning (next Monday). The personnel of (he sides chosen are: A TEAM (to play Taranaki A at Wanganui) Full-back: A. Duncan (Kaierau). Three-quarters: W. McPike (Pirates), E. Bligh (Wanganui and Old Boys), vice-captain, N. Anderson (Pirates). Five-eighths: K. Dunlop (Technical Old Boys), K. Welsh (Wanganui and Old Boys). Half-back: R. Best (Pirates). Back of Scrum: Stewart McNichol (Taihape). Sides: G. Both teams are Io practise sharp at 7 p.m. on Thursday. Players chosen from Taihape and Rangitikei are to be in Wanganui on Saturday night. Thr B team will leave for New Plymouth on Sunday afternoon. The match is to be played on the Monday morning.
