WANGANUI SALE LAMBS SHOW INCREASE Reporting on their weekly Wanganui sale yesterday, Messrs. Freeman R. Jackson and Co., Ltd., state .that there was a good average yarding of sheep, fats being at late rates, with much inquiry for store wethers and all classes of lambs, which again showed a slight advance on last week. There was little inquiry for medium quality yearling Jersey heifers. Local buyers are hardly ready for springing Jersey heifers and out of a good yarding few lots were sold. Pigs provided another heavy yarding, light bacqners and porkers selling at late rates/ Values were:— Sheep.—Fat wethers, 33s to 33s 6d; light weights, 29s to 30s 9d; 2-tooth wethers, 22s 6d to 26s Id; medium, 19s to 21s; m.a. wethers, to 26s 2d; wether lambs, 13s 6d to 18s lOd; ewe lambs, small, 15s 6d to 16s 3d; medium b.f. lambs, 12s 6d to 14s; small 2-tooth breeding ewes, 23s lOd to 25s 9d. Cattle.—No fats were yarded; good boner cows, £4 7s 6d to £5 12s 6d; boner cows, £2 to £3 10s; Jersey wean er heifers, £3 2s 6d to £4 15s; one good dairy cow at drop, £l6 10s; Jersey heifers, spring calvers, £ll to £ll 12s 6d. Pigs.—Light baconers, to £3 10s; heaevy porkers, £3 to £3 10s; average, £2 10s to £3; light, £1 15s to £2 7s 6d; stores, to 30s; good weaners, 14s to 20s; small, 5s to Bs. Vealers.—Good 2-year heifers, to £9; heavy runners, £4 17s dto £6 15s; good vealers, £3 to £4 2s 6d; light, £1 7s 6a to £1 15s.
