CHURCHILL AND “IKE” ESCAPE INJURY

Recd. 10 p.m. New York, March 9. Mr. Churchill and General Eisenhower narrowly escaped injury at Williamsburg, Virginia, to-day, when two white horses drawing an ancient coach in which they were riding, frightened by photographers’ flash-bulbs, bucked, plunged and threatened to run away. The horses were quietened by a negro coechnian. The incident caused th? can-, cellation of a schedule horse-drawn tour of this colonial capital of old Virginia.
