BOBBY CALF POOL
At the annual meeting of the North Wanganui Bobby Calf Pool, to be held at the Brunswick Hall on Tuesday, March 12. business will include the election of ward members for the Kai Iwi and the Tayforth-Castlecliff districts. In response to numerous requests, the executive will screen a tilm in conjunction wtih the meeting and have secured what is considered a most suitable film. “One Hundred Crowded Years.” Running for an hour, it will show Jhe signing of the Treaty of WaitanfT, the first shipment. of emigrants leaving England lor New Zealand, and the early history and settlement of the country. It also shows part of the Maori War, and deals with the life of the native population of the country, thus giving a complete coverage of the growth of this Dominion up to the time of the centennial. The film is suitable for screening to mixed audiences, and the executive of the pool extends an invitation for anybody to attend this interesting as well as educational show.
