PALESTINE PROBLEM NEW STATUS FOR COUNTRY Recd. 6 p.m. Jerusalem, March 6. An 800-page memorandum from the Arab Office in Jerusalem, which wat submitted to the Anglo-American Committee of Inquiry, put forward an Arab solution to the Palestine question. according to the director of th? Arab Office Ahmed Hukairy. The memorandum says: “Palestine must be given the status of a nation, with a democratic Constitution whereby all citizens’ rights will be guaranteed, regardless of race, colour, or creed. The Arab view is that the onlv solution lies in the creation of a Palestinian nation which would be accepted as a member of the United Nations.
