BIG LINER AFIRE
Reed. 11.44 p.m. London, March 8. Ths Queen Elizabeth, biggest liner in the world, is on fire at Soutiiamptoii. A column of smoke was seen coming from the liner at 9 aan. to-<lay, and a general alarm was issued to fire brigades. The liner, which h moored in the new docks, this week completed her wartime trooping service and was laying up for refit before entry into the North Atlantic passenger service.
