NEW AUSTRALIAN FIGHTER
Melbourne, March 5. Australia’s new fighter Aircraft, Hi,' CA 15, has made her first test flight from the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation's runway. The trial was kept a secret. After the flight the test pilot, who has flown Hurricane, Spitfires, Typhoons, Mustangs, Kittyhaws, and Boomerangs, said he thought the fighter would show a better performance than any other single-engined plane he had flown. The niane was entirely designed and built in Australia, but is powered with a Rolls Royce-Griffin engine.
